Statement Sorter ("we", "the tool") is operated as an individual project. This policy explains what happens to your data when you use it.
When you upload a bank or card CSV export, its rows are sent to our server to be categorized (using simple rules and, for rows the rules miss, an AI categorization pass) and the categorized result is returned to you in your browser. We do not create an account for you and do not require a login.
We do not store the contents of your uploaded file. Your transaction data is processed in memory for the single request and then discarded - it is not written to a database or shared with any third party. We do keep aggregate, non-identifying usage counters (e.g. how many files were processed in total) to understand whether the tool is useful.
If you voluntarily submit your email to the "notify me" waitlist, we store that email address so we can let you know when the Pro version ships. We do not use it for anything else and do not share it with third parties. Email services@jasonparker.ai to have it removed at any time.
If you purchase a Pro subscription, payment is handled entirely by our merchant of record, Creem, which collects and processes the payment information needed to bill you (we never see or store your card details). See Creem's privacy policy for how they handle that data.
